Embarr … Wild Horse Lapel Decor
Normally, Artist Shirley Matteson designs and creates fine silver jewelry in the form of necklaces, earrings, or even cuff links. Here, she has created ‘Embarr,’ a gorgeous reddish brown wild horse, with dark, flowing hair and set against a bright bronze gold background.
Inspired by her beloved Texas and the wild horses she loves so dearly, Shirley has gone back to her roots here. The deep red brown of the horse’s coat shines boldly against the contrast of its dark hair and deep gold background. The tiny gold wires used in the Cloissoné jewlery making process shine brightly against the horse’s deep red brown coat. The result is a one-of-a-kind wild horse that seems to come to life before your eyes.
The Embarr Red Brown Horse Lapel Decor Jewel
Embarr is one of a series of horse jewels in Shirley’s newest line of fine jewelry creations. Along with Arion, Astrelle, and Celeste, they complete the artist’s vision of bringing the beloved horses of Texas to life. For this line, Shirley has gone one step farther and created a whole new line of jewels for her collection. While she more often creates necklaces, earrings, or even cuff links, these wild horses have been created as lapel decor jewels.
Lapel decor? Not a lapel ‘pin’? Well, kind of! They look like lapel pins, but have a secret when you turn them over. There are no sharp pins on the back of these jewels. So nothing to destroy your lapel and prick your fingers. Instead, Shirley used strong rare earth magnets that will keep your jewel ‘pinned’ to your lapel.
Of course, Shirley’s horse jewelry comes with a rosewood box, storage pouch and a powerful rare earth magnet on the back. Naturally, when you’re not showing off your fabulous wild horse lapel decor fine jewelry, keep her in her silvercloth pouch so she won’t get tarnished.
